    About US

    GCHS

Mental illnesses are medical conditions that can disrupt a person’s thinking, feeling, mood, ability to relate to others, and daily functioning. When mental illness strikes, it can turn lives upside down. Many individuals and families experience multiple stresses in their lives; some people may not even recognize what is going on, especially during a first episode of psychosis or early on in the illness process. Therefore, getting a comprehensive assessment is the first step toward recovery.

Which is why Grandissons Counseling and Healing Services provides a wide array of treatment and services to support people in creating safety in their lives and making healthy choices. Treatment for addiction, family-centered services, and support are available as needed and uniquely integrated into trauma-informed mental health services that recognize the importance of creating safety and learning healthy ways to cope with traumatic life experiences and their related symptoms.

    Treatment Philosophy

Grandissons counseling and Healing Services offers services for individuals and families in need of mental health: Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression; and/or trauma treatment as well as substance abuse treatment. Our program uses an integrated, holistic, strengths-based,  and trauma focused cognitive  behavioral therapy approach to support healing and growth, including education and intervention for clients and families. We also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. However, we work collaboratively with my clients to provide the most effective interventions possible based on their needs.

Our approach is to tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs. We treat individuals  with concerns about business/school performance and creativity, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, childhood sexual or physical abuse, adult trauma, alcohol/drug problems, PTSD, codependency, adult children of alcoholics, and self-esteem.

Prior stressful events can contribute to the stress we experience now. This can lead to frustration, feeling defeated, compulsive behavior to cope (e.g., drinking/drug abuse, excessive efforts to please, overspending, overworking, avoiding, etc). Therapy helps you to identify the causes, gain control, and find solutions to enable increased confidence and peace of mind.

    Core Values

We are committed to building safety with clients through connecting, compassion and caring.

I seek to empower people of all ages to know themselves, to take ownership of their lives and to be authentic in relationships.

    Our Mission
